I just don't know if I can do it..

I washed the quilt.  I folded it and put it in the box.

I took it out again and did another photoshoot..

I sadly put it in the box again but I'm procrastinating from taping it up and actually driving to the post office..

I gotta fall in love with a new quilt fast and forget about this one.. it's just so hard.

  2. I know how you feel! I made two quilts for my sister and felt (secretly) delighted when I found out that she'd rather have a quilt in a whole different coulor! ;D

  3. I just love the way you've quilted this!
P.S. It never gets easy to let the quilts go. After 40 years, I have closets full of them that I just cannot part with. Of those I have given away, I wonder about them as if they were children I gave up for adoption or something! What IS that emotional attachment to our creations? Keep your nerve! xxoo Patty & Bhu

  5. Separation anxiety happens, I know. So common in us quilt-o-philes.
BTW, I absolutely love your machine quilting!

  6. I'm no help in this department. I would keep it myself, it's just beautiful. I am finishing a quilt I have to part with too, it's not an easy task my friend. If you must, have the hubs box and ship when you are not looking . . . kind of like ripping off a bandaid. ox

  7. I can see why you don't want to tape the box! Great quilt, great quilting! But I am sure that you will be making something equally as beautiful in the near future.

  12. I have had this "problem" ever since I started quilting. Sometimes I have to just close my eyes, take a deep breath and put that tape on the box.

  13. Well there is no point in giving a gift if you don't love it too.....and this is a gift of love right? You can do it! Everyone appreciates what goes into making and giving a quilt! ( especially us quilters....letting go is the hardest part!)

    Happy sewing and Merry Christmas
