It's been a slow week for EPP over here.. I did manage to finish my 3rd star, and baste about 40 more hexies, but I'm not feeling too bad about it. I pulled out my sewing machine (!!!) and whipped up a comfy, girly, couch quilt for a very special friend and I hope to share pictures of that soon.
I am faithfully bringing my sewing kit with me everywhere still, you never know when someone will take a nap and you'll have a free minute. This past week I got a lot of basting done at the local pool while George was at swimming lessons..
Have you been stitching anywhere fun lately?
They look great!
ReplyDeleteI have been doing a fair bit of EPP. I am sewing some 1" hexies, and also started on the Spring Carnival pattern from I'm A Ginger Monkey. But I'll definately have a pack of EPPs ready to bring with me to Greece!
I love your Hexiestars.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Manuela
Wonderful hexie work.
ReplyDeleteJessica, it's not letting me link up. It says submissions start August 5th?????
ReplyDeleteOMG, thanks for letting me know, Trina! I just fixed, please try again!!
DeleteThese stars are just sooooo beautiful, I must try something like it as soon as I've got a little free time on my hands. That is... in... godknowshowmany quilts ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd there I forgot the most important thing, the most interesting places we did EPP in the last weeks. For me it was the cloisters of a baroque abbey. It strangely felt fitting to do that and it was funny to be asked by the Sisters living in the Convent what I was doing.
DeleteI love the colorfulness! Watching colors interact is one of the fun things about patchwork!
ReplyDeleteHi there! I hope it's OK if I join in. I've been following along for about a month, and decided to jump in with my first star completed. Love those colors, and what a great use of pool time!
ReplyDeleteHi Jessica,
ReplyDeleteYour stars look great. I love how bright they are. I know what you mean about taking your project everywhere with you. I feel really odd without my epp project. It is now one of the first things I grab if I am leaving the house. I even thought about just leaving it in the trunk of the car, so I would only work on it when away.
I love your book. I am working with hexagons to start. I really love EPP.
ReplyDeleteI would love to sew hexies with you at the pool! or the park! Just let me know when and where...
ReplyDeleteMy stitching was nill this week because of the poison oak on my eyelid...hopefully this week will be better and next Monday I will have something to show...I am going to enjoy seeing everyone's progress for this week...
ReplyDeleteI hang out and stitch at the Museum of Modern Art in Sapporo between classes and this week I worked on my hexagons. I had several people come over to see what I was doing. I wish my Japanese was such that I could really tell them!
