Monday Morning Star Count 2014/39

I sat with Christa as she stitched today after lunch.  I should have remembered to bring my sewing kit, but I haven't started carrying it with me to work daily yet.

This week I took lots of pictures of quilts, and did lots of hand stitching, but only made a little EPP progress.  My sewing kit is a mess..

Has your stitching been more focused than mine?

  1. Sometimes we just need a break. I took a week off of my EPP project last week just because there was no mojo. But I'm back this week because it's my only EPP project that I brought with me, so I'm forced to really work on it and get a big chunk of it done.

LOVE the cherry blossom fabric! Is that something local, or one of your impossible-to-get fabrics from your travels? It's way cute. :)

  2. Thanks for all the inspiration, Jess! I'm learning, sometimes messes are just good works in process... ;-)

  3. I always have something on the go but get distracted & move onto another project. By the time I come back to it I have to try to remember what I was going to make!! Always makes for an interesting quilt or cushion. Haha I really enjoy EPP even if I'm not very organised!

  4. I'm in hexi fatigue at the moment so making something else till the hexi urge strikes me again. And try as I might I have several small containers that are sewing kits, somehow one is never enough and then you have multiple mess! lol

  5. My sewing kit is also a mess. I always have more items in it than I need for the project I'm working on. Today is a rainy day here so my sewing kit will be emptied and I will only put back what I need for the project I am currently working on, which is 6 pointed stars using paper pieces. I enjoy your blog, thank you for sharing with us.
